Transformation Solution
The newly deployed Inform content management platform allows users to manage (via an intuitive web based user interface) a wide range of display devices with a wide range of rich media information such as Real Time transport feeds, news, community information, alerts and even focused advertisements.
Inform is designed to be extremely flexible whilst remaining easy to use, allowing a customer to delegate the creation of content to others whilst still ensuring they remain in control of what is being shown on the display. By using playlists, schedules and channels, a user can plan their content weeks or months before it is due to be displayed (ideal for ensuring relevant content is shown leading up to, and during periods of service disruption at Bank Holidays etc).
The initial deployment of Inform across the UK including the bustling Drummer Street interchange in Cambridge and at sites across Hampshire are delivering vital Real Time Information to Public Transport passengers to help them understand actual bus times, instead of having to guess when the bus will arrive!
