Transformation Solution
Working in close partnership with SL, Vix transformed the people of Stockholm’s daily commute by implementing a smart-card system and making it multi-modal. Residents, and visitors, can now access both the rail and bus networks with one card and have more opportunities with regards to how and where to purchase tickets.
The new system enables the smart card database to be managed by a central computer, allowing operators to continually improve their transit offer to meet the needs of commuters and to easily analyse customer travel patterns.
